Shreveport's first-ever puppet parade has been rescheduled for 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday (7/12).

You can experience a cadre of huge puppet characters including Elvis, Hank Williams, The Cajun Alligator and others. It begins in Shreveport at the shipping containers on Texas Avenue.

The event is free and include a parade of Dancers, drummers, stilt walkers, bands, and food Trucks. You can march through the "shipping container galleries".

See performances by E.E.M. United and John Wright and see Emily Daye’s “Racing Hearts” installation.  Bring the family and create your own parade mask with hands on artists Kathryn Usher and Nadine Chairty!  End the parade near the Oakland Cemetery and see some video of Wayne White's other works plus take photos with the puppets.
