I-220 Shutting Down This Weekend For Road Work

I drive on I-220 to work every single morning. Last week, I got trapped on the Cross Lake Bridge for the better part of 3 hours due to an accident. This weekend I'll be finding another route to work because 220 is getting shut down in both directions for continued road work. 

The other morning, I noticed some big flashing signs that said '220 closed at North Market May 15th - May 18th.' At first, I thought that maybe the North Market exit was just getting shut down. But it was released that 220 is indeed getting completely shut down for a few days.

As of right now, it looks like Interstate 220 will be shut down in both directions from the RaceTrack in Bossier up to the North Market exits Friday May 15 through Monday May 18. According to the interwebs, 220 will be back open Monday morning at 4 am, but with variables like weather at play, I would say find an alternate route just in case.
