Governor Edwards Updates Us on Disaster Relief Before Visiting Shreveport [VIDEO]

Governor John Bel Edwards is planning to tour our region today. He gave us a call this morning to talk about the response to the flooding in our community. Governor Edwards says that his office has been in contact with FEMA and the White House regarding federal disaster relief. Edwards explained that Louisiana does not currently meet the requirements for federal disaster relief.

The governor also issued a warning to drivers who may be tempted to go sightseeing on roadways buried under high water.  Listen to our full interview with Governor John Bel Edwards below.
