Cannibal Corpse’s ‘Frantic Disembowelment’ Gets Brutal Ukulele Cover by Rob Scallon

Our favorite master of playing metal songs on non-metal instruments, Rob Scallon, has released yet another brilliant video. This time around, Scallon tackles the ultra-technical ‘Frantic Disembowelment’ by Cannibal Corpse on the ukulele.

Rob Scallon has racked up millions of YouTube views for his various covers. Some of our favorites include Slayer‘s ‘War Ensemble‘ on ukulele, System of a Down‘s ‘Aerials‘ on the cello and perhaps Scallon’s crown jewel, Slayer’s ‘Raining Blood‘ on the banjo.

Cannibal Corpse’s ‘Frantic Disembowelment’ is a part of the death metal legends’ ninth album, ‘The Wretched Spawn.’ Scallon’s cover showcases phenomenal musicianship on not only the ukulele, but the rarely-seen U-Bass, which is essentially the ukulele’s answer to a bass guitar. Of course, when you have Alex Webster‘s bass playing to live up to, you’ve got no choice but to bring out the big guns.

Much like the ‘Raining Blood’ video, Scallon’s cover is partially filmed outside of the studio. The dude rips his ukulele in the middle of the woods before eventually smashing the tiny instrument into smithereens. METAL!
