Platinum selling rockers .38 Special is going to be pulling into Louisiana this month. But not to one of the cities you might expect. No, it's not New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Shreveport, Bossier City, Lafayette, or even Lake Charles. These rockers will be taking the stage in Alexandria on Saturday, April 13th.

The show will take place at the Rapides Parish Coliseum, and will also feature Cade Roth & The Blacksheep. There are VIP tickets available for the show. According to the Ticketmaster site, here's what comes with the VIP ticket:

"...the best seats in the house plus a limited edition collectors laminate. VIPs will also receive early entry at 5:30 PM where they will be able to attend a pre-show VIP party from5:30 PM until 6:00 PM with free soda, water, and snacks provided plus a guest MC playing live music and trivia games which will feature prizes."

The band .38 Special was formed by Don Barnes and Donnie Van Zant in 1974. Due to medical reasons, Van Zant became unable to perform with the band in 2013, when he retired. Barnes remains with the band, and performs every night on tour.

From 1981 to 1983, .38 Special released a platinum selling album every single year. With 1981's  "Wild-Eyed Southern Boys", then "Special Forces" in 1982, and "Tour de Force" in 1983. Their 1984 album was a gold selling effort, "Strength in Numbers".

Those albums produced legendary singles like "Caught Up In You", "If I'd Been the One", and the legendary "Hold on Loosely".

You can catch .38 Special live in Alexandria, for the first time ever, on Saturday, April 13th.
