Believe it or not, out of the over 1200 "National Days", National Disc Jockey Day is one of 'em and it just so happens it's today.  Even though those of us on the radio haven't jockeyed a vinyl disc in 20 years. Nowadays everything's on hard drive, so you can't tell who wrote the songs by reading the record label cuz there ain't one.  But now, we've got something much better--the Internet.  Used to be I would subscribe to all the music and entertainment magazines, the local and national newspapers, and maybe even a joke service or two to help me prepare for my on-air shift.  Now all I've got to do is Google "entertainment news" or "Metallica news" or "one-line jokes" and it pops up right in front of me.  But I digress.  Today is the day set aside to appreciate us guys and gals behind the mic, and there's one surefire way to do that.  Just listen to us on your favorite radio station, which should be 99X.  Won't even cost you a penny. (Please, listen to me.  No, really.)
