Where Did Old Time American Speech Go? [VIDEO]

We make fun of it now, we use it to identify old movies and audio. It's the 'old timey American accent' or TransAtlantic speech.

Until I watched this video, I had no idea where it came from. Actually, after watching it, I still don't REALLY know where it came from, but at least I know why it stopped.

Also, if you play along with the video, you can really learn HOW to use the accent. With the clipped T's and all. This is a solid watch that you might actually learn something from...which is much better than learning from Urban Dictionary.
