I love my job. Even on days I feel like driving a screwdriver through Woody's forehead, I still wouldn't do anything else in this world. My job is the greatest because of you guys and the bands that keep breathing life into Rock and Roll and keep this thing fun and exciting. And whether you realize it or not, this is a great time to be a rock and roll fan. Rock is getting hard again, and there are a lot of great bands finally getting their big break. Here is a list of the top 5 up and coming bands to keep an eye on over the next couple of years:

  • 1

    The Treatment

These kids are barely of legal drinking age, but they rock balls like no other. They've already been on tour with Kiss, Motley Crue, Iron Maiden, and Alice Cooper just to name a few. Their new album 'This Might Hurt' just got released state side, and I would highly suggest you go pick yourself up a copy.

  • 2

    Digital Summer

This band is not only kick ass, but they have some local ties. Their guitar player, Jon "Bubba" Stephenson, is from here and used to be in Karma Protocol. Their new album 'Breaking Point' is worth picking up, and hopefully they'll be hitting the Warehouse sometime soon.

    Baroness

These guys have actually been around since 2003, but they just now got their big break with their new single 'Take My Bones Away'. Metallica digs these guys, I dig these guys, and I think you will enjoy them as well.

    Signum A.D.

This is another band with local ties. The lead singer, Sammy, also used to be in Karma Protocol. Local ties or not, this band is the real deal. Their new EP 'Veto The Vultures Pt. I' is stellar, and they essentially did it all on their own. Which makes it that much more impressive.

    Charm City Devils

These guys are the best parts of Aerosmith and AC/DC without all the drug abuse and feuds. They are a straight forward, kick ass rock and roll band. If you don't know them, you should because they are the real f'n deal and WILL be a big deal.
