Texas Teacher Justifiably Flips Out On Kid [VIDEO]

A video is tearing up the internet this morning from our friends over in Texas. This video is from the El Paso Independent School District.

Too often in today's society parents, and adults in general, look down on teachers. In various different way; people somehow think we pay them too much, students want grades given to them without work (and their parents will back them), and often the public overreacts negatively when in-class confrontations take place.

Look, teachers are saints.

They take more crap from kids than your kids give you, AND they take it from dozens of kids everyday. That's not to say EVERY student is a problem, most aren't. But there are a lot of kids who come from families where their behavior is defended, and possibly encouraged. Lazy, or bad, parents raise terrible children.

Before I post this video, let me frame something I said real quick. I don't offer blanket statements without qualifiers. When I say 'teachers are saints' I mean that, for MOST teachers. There are really bad teachers out there, just like there are bad doctors, bad bankers, and (let's be honest) bad law enforcement officers.

There's a solid 5% of any profession that work everyday to ruin it for everyone else.

Now I don't know this teacher. We don't even know her name. But here are a few things we can take away from this video:

1. Her students applaud her at the end
2. The student that uploaded this video even took the time to write a short defense of the teacher at the beginning.
3. She shows emotion by dropping F-bombs, but has enough restraint to not become physical with the student. (I don't care about words, let teachers swear at students, the kids would listen to them more)
