Fantastic Five: Worst Superman Costumes

If there’s one thing we’ve learned from our years on the Internet, it’s that there’s no aspect of comics that can’t be broken down and quantified in a single definitive list, preferably in amounts of five or ten. And since there’s no more definitive authority than ComicsAlliance, we’re taking it upon ourselves to compile Top Five lists of everything you could ever want to know about comics.

Superman is responsible for laying the foundation for what we would come to know as the "superhero costume", so it stands to reason that every time anything about his changes; it makes headlines and gets people talking. But for a character that’s been around as long as Superman, it’d be silly not to expect him to mix it up every now and then and try on a new outfit. But they can’t all compete with his classic look. Jude Law Recalls the Time He Was Superman For Two Minutes

For as many Superman movies exist, there are just about twice as many versions of the iconic superhero that didn’t make it to the big screen. Perhaps the most famous of the bunch is Tim Burton’s Superman movie, which would have starred Nicolas Cage. But there was another notable project that never got off the ground, with Jude Law briefly attached to play the Kryptonian hero. There are a few reasons why that movie didn’t move forward, but for his part, Law explains what made him change his mind about taking on the famous role.

Fantastic Five: Female Supermen

Hello again and welcome to another episode of Fantastic Fives, the show where we tell you the irrefutably correct five answers to a particular topic in comics, and you tell us how wrong we are in the comments! This week we’re looking at the best female Supermen.

One of a Kind: A Gallery Of Neal Adams’ Best DC Covers

Neal Adams is one of those creators who has had --- and is still having --- such a profound effect on the medium of comics that it’s difficult to even know where to start talking about him. His work for DC Comics in the 60s and 70s was responsible for evolving our view of a number of characters, including Batman and Superman.

At 74 years of age, Adams is as eager as ever to tell new stories with DC’s biggest heroes, and this month sees the release of the first issue of his new six issue mini-series, Superman: The Coming of the Supermen. To mark the occasion, we've compiled a collection of his best DC cover art.

Everyone loves comic book trivia, but with 75 years of superhero comics behind us right now, there’s always some new obscure fact to learn. That’s why ComicsAlliance is going deep into the minutiae of your favorite characters in our continuing video series. You think you know comics? Well, here’s a few things you might not know!

This week we're taking a look at Doomsday, who, despite being described by Chris Sims as grey Hulk in bicycle shorts with bone claws, is nevertheless going to be making his major motion picture debut this year in Batman v Superman. Though he is still best known for his debut story in which he and Superman "killed" each other, we will take you through Doomsday's history, starting with his origin as a repeatedly murdered baby all the way to his fate as a mind-controlling purple dust in Superman's lungs, with all the twists and turns along the way.
