Nobody really knows what’s going on with Disney and Lucasfilm’s reported reboot of the Indiana Jones franchise. They say they want to do it, we know they want to do it because they paid $3 billion for this stuff, but Steven Spielberg says there’s no way he’d recast Harrison Ford. So while they figure all that out, there’s this easter egg in Star Wars: The Force Awakens to keep all the Indiana Jones fans satisfied. You probably didn’t catch it the first time around, but we’re here to help you out.

Though Star Wars: The Force Awakens takes place over 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi, director J.J. Abrams still found a way to work on some classic characters who had long since passed on. Kylo Ren has a conversation with Darth Vader’s helmet. Obi-Wan speaks to Rey during her Force vision. And, there was one additional cameo that ultimately was cut from the film: Yoda.

When last we left Captain Phasma in Star Wars: The Force Awakens she (SPOILER ALERT FOR LITERALLY THE BIGGEST MOVIE OF ALL TIME) was captured by Finn, Han Solo, and Chewbacca. She helped them lower the Starkiller Base shields and then, in a nod to the original Star Wars, our heroes teased tossing her down the garbage shoot.

We’re more than three years into the Disney era of Star Wars. Since 2012, when Disney purchased Lucasfilm for $4 billion and change, we’ve seen a new canon take the place of the old Expanded Universe, with two seasons of the animated Star Wars: Rebels; the release of the most successful movie in the franchise, Star Wars: The Force Awakens; multiple new novels and short stories; and the launch of a new line of Star Wars comics from Marvel. But Jedi and Sith have tangled in the Mighty Marvel Manner before. Marvel was the original publisher of Star Wars comics. Starting in April 1977 --- a month before the original film’s release --- and running until June 1986 for 107 issues and three annuals, the original Star Wars comic book was many things: zany comedy, thrilling adventure and, in its final years, a meditation on soldiers in peace time, all written and drawn by some of the greatest writers and artists in the industry. But before all that, it was a logistical problem.

Since its launch in November, millions of battles have been waged for galactic supremacy in Star Wars Battlefront. Through all that time, DICE has kept its plans for expansion relatively under wraps, save for the free Battle for Jakku update released during Star Wars: The Force Awakens' launch. Now that the dust has settled a bit, the developer's finally pulling back the curtain on the add-ons planned for the space shooter, and it looks like fans of the classic trilogy will have plenty to look forward to throughout 2016. New maps and modes are great and all, but it's really all about the extra hero characters and the clothes they wear. Most importantly, DICE is releasing a free update this week that will add Hoth costumes for Luke and Han when they're present on the icy planet's maps. Luke and his busted up face are nice and all, but I'm more excited to see how DICE plans to handle the great brown/blue debate fans of Han Solo in Empire Strikes Back have waged for decades. Well, so long as they haven't seen the irrefutable proof in the behind the scenes documentaries on the Blu-ray collection.

With two more Star Wars episodes and at least three spinoff / anthology films on the way, it’s hard to think too much about the future of the franchise beyond that, though we have been curious about Disney and Lucasfilm’s plans for the future of the series after Episode IX hits theaters in 2019. Will there be more sequels? A new trilogy? More spinoffs? According to Disney CEO Bob Iger, Star Wars will continue on after Episode IX, and the studio has no plans to end that other major franchise anytime soon, either.

The moment Adam Driver was announced as the first SNL host of 2016, we knew a Star Wars: The Force Awakens sketch would be coming, and the NBC mainstay didn’t disappoint. Spoofing Undercover Boss with Kylo Ren was delightful, but who knew Driver had such a tough time keeping a straight face? Watch this SNL behind-the-scenes video to see for yourself.

If you loved Star Wars: The Force Awakens and can’t wait for the adventures of Finn, Rey, and Poe to continue in Star Wars: Episode VIII, uh, you’re going to have to.

Apart from teasing some incredible action to the back half of Season 2, Star Wars Rebels got tongues wagging with a new trailer that seemingly promised ties to The Force Awakens. There was Kylo Ren’s lightsaber and a masked figure sounding suspiciously like Supreme Leader Snoke, and now supervising director Dave Filoni answers if Rebels will really introduce a major movie tie-in.
