The Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund has stepped up once again with a $100,000 donation to the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center in Nashville.

Metallica have unveiled their contribution to the upcoming Ronnie James Dio tribute album 'This is Your Life' -- and it's a stunning, nine-minute long medley featuring four songs from the singer's time in Rainbow.

Lzzy Hale and Halestorm are no strangers to cover tunes, banging out 2 cover EPs over the past couple years. And most recently they were tapped to contribute to the upcoming Ronnie James Dio tribute album 'This Is Your Life' which will also feature tracks from Anthrax, Metallica, Motorhead, and Rob Halford.

The worldwide metal community has mourned the tragic death of the iconic vocalist Ronnie James Dio ever since he succumbed to stomach cancer at the age of 67. A year-and-a-half after Dio’s passing, some of rock and metal’s biggest names such as Rob Halford, Lemmy Kilmister and Dave Grohl have begun recording a tribute album in honor of the late singer.
