For music fans looking for a good cause to get behind, the annual ‘Ride for Dime’ event is just around the corner scheduled for Aug. 16 and 17 in Texas. With events scheduled in both Fort Worth and Dallas, friends, fans and family members will all join forces to remember Pantera guitarist “Dimebag" Darrell Abbott with a motorcycle ride followed by two nights of great music.

Despite the tragic death of shredder 'Dimebag' Darrell Abbott and the hostility held between certain members of the great Pantera, there has been rumblings of a possible reunion of the band for the past few years. The lineup for the second annual DimeBash has been announced. The show is a tribute to the late, great guitarist Dimebag Darrell Abbott, who tragically was gunned down seven years ago today, Dec. 8, in Ohio while doing what he loved most: playing guitar. He was performing with his post-Pantera band Damageplan when a disturbed fan opened fire at close range and shot him.

Mayhem Fest hit Dallas, Texas on Wednesday, August 10th and those in attendance were treated to a fitting tribute to Dallas, Texas' own legend "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott.
