A few weeks ago, I told you about Geek4Life's Geek'd Con 2015. Well, since then, they've made some major guest announcements that I'm pretty stoked for. This three-day convention is happening at the Shreveport Convention Center August 21-23.

Look, I'm an old school Deadpool fan. There was something about Wade Wilson that made me love him from New Mutants 98 on. Since then, Deadpool has become THE BIGGEST character in the comic universe. And today, Wade met his demise at the hands of Gerry Duggan and Brian Posehn.

I grew up in time when 8-bit video games ruled the world. Nothing in the world was better than the NES. I guess, that's why I have such a warm spot in my heart for the 8-Bit Cinema videos that pop up on YouTube. I love them. In the past, they covered everything from the Godfather to Sin City to Guardians of the Galaxy. And their take on the Walking Dead is AMAZING! Check it out below!

With the rise of comic popularity and the lowering of cost to make a quality video online, great fan made videos have been on the rise. Some pretty serious like the Nightwing web series, and some pretty funny like this one. I'm a huge Wes Anderson film. There is just something about his strange vision and directing style that draws me to his films. I loved Bottle Rockets, Rushmore and Grand Budapest Motel...they are just brilliant. Well, Patrick Willems took Wes' unique vision and applied to the X-Men to make an awesome short film.
