On Monday for World AIDS Day, U2 put on a surprise concert in New York's Times Square. Because Bono was unable to perform with the band due to his recovery from a bicycling injury and surgery, Bruce Springsteen and Coldplay's Chris Martin stood in and handled the singing duties.
