Rob Zombie unfortunately had to cut short his performance in Cadott, Wis. at the annual Rock Fest after only two songs, citing throat issues as the reasoning for shutting things down early. Zombie was apologetic initially in revealing his throat issues to the crowd and he continued his apologies in a new post at his website.

As Zombie reveals in his posting, this is the first time in his 29 years of performing that he's not been able to complete a show, often times powering through a gig in less than ideal circumstances. But, as expected, there has been a mix of both supportive and critical responses since the show, which he addresses in his post.

Above all, Zombie states, "I don't take the fans for granted and I don't take this situation lightly. My goal is to never let the fans down, but on that night I did. Unfortunately I had no choice." To further illustrate his point, he offered a photo of his throat for visual proof. Read his entire posting below.

Zombie will have time to recover before his next show. He's scheduled to return to the road in September, beginning with a show on Sept. 8 in Portland, Ore. To see his full itinerary, click here.
