Saturday is one of my favorite days of the year, Free Comic Book Day! I think the title pretty much says it all...it's the one day of the year where local comic book stores give away free comics, which is NEVER a bad thing. And this year's list of books is pretty awesome; they range from Secret Wars #0 to the Simpsons to Fight Club 2!

We've all be waiting not so patiently for the new Batman game 'Arkham Knight'. The game has been delayed and pushed back several times over the past few months, but with the release date right around the corner (June 23) Rocksteady just released an amazing new trailer!

A few weeks ago, I told you about Geek4Life's Geek'd Con 2015. Well, since then, they've made some major guest announcements that I'm pretty stoked for. This three-day convention is happening at the Shreveport Convention Center August 21-23.

Last week, the Batman v Superman trailer damn near broke the internet. And for good reason.

As you know, I have a HUGE comic book collector. I got books ranging from Golden Age - Current. Some of them are pretty high dollar (Iron Man 1), some are just crap I like (the entire run of Howard the Duck), but I love it and it is what I do in my past time (much to my girlfriend's chagrin). But as far as my collection goes, there are only 2 Holy Grail books that I need in my collection: Amazing

Ok, so last night I finished Daredevil Season One. After the last frame, the only thing I could think was WOW! In all honesty, it may be the best entry yet into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It was dark, it was gritty, it was everything I could have hoped for in the series.

There's some creepy stuff online. Photo-shopped images, doctored videos, creepypasta, pictures of Kelly Ripa...scary stuff. There's a lot of FAKE scary stuff, but the scariest stuff is the stuff that's true. Like a card game from the early 90s successfully predicting the future...

Look, I've been banging on this for months now, but I'm totally pumped for the new Netflix Daredevil series! All the reviews that have come out so far have been nothing but glowing. For the past two weeks, I've been digging through the back issues at Excalibur. I'm in full Daredevil mode! Look, I'm an old school Deadpool fan. There was something about Wade Wilson that made me love him from New Mutants 98 on. Since then, Deadpool has become THE BIGGEST character in the comic universe. And today, Wade met his demise at the hands of Gerry Duggan and Brian Posehn.

I'm in hog heaven because it looks like 2015 is the year of the nerd in Shreveport/Bossier! Back in February we had the Louisiana Comic Con. And now, it looks like a new 3 day Convention is coming to the Shreveport Convention Center August 21-23, Geek'd Con! And from their Facebook page, this looks like it is going to be an EPIC event!

I'm not a huge collector of action figures or statues. I have Daredevil, Punisher and Deadpool Action Figures and one really big Captain America Statue. But, when I saw this on Previews, I just had to have it! Mezco has a new line of One:12 Ultra Premium Action Figures and the first one released is based off of Frank Miller's Dark Knight Returns!
