Rockin Rick

Hey It’s Rockin’ Rick! I’m celebrating my 18th year as an on-air personality for 99X. I was born in Peoria, IL, then spent 14 years in Vail, Colorado, where I enjoyed the party and outdoor life, including being a ski bum, hiking, fishing, camping, golfing, 4-wheeling, traveling and, of course, partying hard. While I lived in Vail I started my radio career at a station called KSKE. I moved to Shreveport in late 1995 and heard that “The Rebel Rocker 99X” dropped off my air-check cassette tape. I was hired the same day and the rest is history. I've had the privilege of interviewing, hanging out with and getting to know more bands than I can list here. The coolest thing I have ever got to do as a jock was fly with the Blue Angels about 5 years ago. The most fun part of my job is getting to meet and hang out with you, the listeners, at our numerous remotes, events and concerts. And of course, I'm a fitness buff and love to work out. See ya at the next one. Peace out and ROCK ON!

If you're looking for something a little heavier, The Aftermath look set to tear down Riverside Warehouse along with openers Eight Feet Thick.

Velvet Revolver and Scott Weiland Reunion?

It appears that Velvet Revolver might have found their “new” frontman: Scott Weiland. The Stone Temple Pilots singer talked about the supergroup, and his current relationship with his former bandmates, in an interview with Classic Rock magazine....the question is can he stay clean long enough to stay a member of the band??

STP was in town less than a year ago at the Horseshoe Riverdome for the second date on the tour...Less than a month later he was on stage and forgot the words to his own songs and his band members walked off stage pretty angry.

Scott says.....

8 Reasons Why Guys Should Learn To Cook

But ask any woman (or man that already knows how) why it is better to be a kitchen savvy dude and you'll start to see what these guys are missing.

8 Reasons Regular Guys Should Learn To Cook

1. Chicks dig it
