Louisiana DOTD is preparing to begin the Jimmie Davis Bridge rehabilitation project.

Prep work kicks off Saturday, April 22, and motorists will need to expect periodic lane closures on Arthur Ray Teague and Clyde Fant Parkways between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

DOTD says lane closures will be limited to one lane at a time. This work is expected to last 30 days.

Department leaders ask that you pay attention to flaggers, drive with caution through the construction site, and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.

As with all road projects, this work will be done weather permitting. Tomorrow's weather is, so far, looking to be just fine for construction.
