Three women are behing bars for creating counterfeit payroll checks and cashing them at a local business.

Bossier City police say 40-year-old Twanna Thomas, 37-year-old Audrey Trotter and 33-year-old Traquisha Jones, all of Bossier, were charged with monetary instrument abuse.

Detectives say the women worked together and used check printing computer software to create multiple fake payroll checks with bank account information from Jones' former employer. The women then forged the checks and cashed them at a business this week, causing a financial loss to the company of about $2,000.

Investigators were able to locate the trip...since they all provided the business with their state-issued ID cards when they cashed the checks.

The women were booked into the Bossier City Jail, then transferred to the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Facility.
