[UPDATE #2]¬†Horseshoe Casino in Bossier City has started issuing refunds for Friday night’s cancelled 3 Doors Down concert.

Entertainment Supervisor Shelli Briery told 710 KEEL News that if you purchased your tickets by credit card through any Ticketmaster outlet or the Gift Horse Gift Shop, your refund will show up on your card. If you paid cash, you’ll need to claim your refund at Gift Horse.

Briery said that about 800 tickets had already been sold for the show, and the Riverdome holds more than 1,300. So she expected some walk-up ticket sales Friday evening.

Briery said this isn’t the first national act to cancel a Horseshoe performance, though it is for a much more serious reason. Creedence Clearwater Revival had to cancel last summer due to a band member illness, but there’s no word yet on a reschedule of the 3 Doors Down concert.

The only information we’re seeing is that the band has cancelled all upcoming April and May performances in the U.S. “out of respect for Paul Howard Shoulders, Jr., and his family.” The band will resume its tour again May 31st in Moscow, then return to the U.S. in July.

[UPDATE] 3 Doors Down has released a statement via Facebook this afternoon, confirming that their remaining US shows this spring, including one at Bossier City’s Horseshoe Casino, have been canceled.

Out of respect to Paul Howard Shoulders, Jr., and his family, 3 Doors Down has cancelled the band’s four scheduled U.S. April / May appearances. They will resume touring May 31 in Moscow, and return to the U.S. for scheduled dates in July.

[ORIGINAL STORY] Rock band 3 Doors Down is scheduled to perform at Horseshoe Casino this Friday, April 26. Will the weekend arrest of its bassist affect that show? That’s what we’re waiting to find out.

CNN reports that police in Nashville, Tennessee, say 41-year-old Robert Todd Harrell has been charged with vehicular homicide after his speeding car clipped a pickup truck, sending it down an embankment and killing the driver. They say Harrell was impaired at the time, and admitted to drinking hard cider and taking prescription pills Lortab and Xanax before driving his vehicle.

He’s being held on $100,000 bond.

A statement on the band’s website says, “We are deeply saddened by the passing of Paul Howard Shoulders, Jr. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family and friends at this difficult time.” However, it doesn’t say anything about cancelling any upcoming shows.

We’re working to contact band management and Horseshoe officials to find out how this news will play out for 3 Doors Down’s tour. Keep checking in with 99x for the latest.
