As reported last night (Nov. 1), longtime Static-X frontman Wayne Static has died at the age of 48. While no details were given, his death was confirmed in a statement by his representatives at FIXT Publicity.

With Wayne Static and his industrial metal band Static-X making a big impact on the rock world, many of his fellow rockers have reacted to his death via social media. Ozzy Osbourne, Slipknot's Corey Taylor, Korn's Jonathan Davis, Staind's Aaron Lewis and members of Disturbed and Megadeth are among the musicians who have paid tribute to Wayne Static via Twitter and Instagram. In addition, Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan, who played with Static in the band Deep Blue Dream in the late '80s, also paid his respects. See their messages below:
