It’s on! Ever since Dave Grohl broke his leg after falling off a stage in Sweden, there has been many a Foo Fighters fan in North America fearing that more shows would have to be called off. But rest assured, Foo Fighters will be back onstage in Washington, D.C. for their massive July 4th bash marking the 20th anniversary of the group’s debut disc.

After Grohl broke his leg, he did return to the stage in a wheelchair where he completed the band’s performance. But after that amazing feat, the group canceled two dates while doctors assessed how bad the break was. Eventually Grohl had surgery and doctors ordered that the remainder of the band’s European trek had to be canceled.

But in the simplest of tweets, the band alerted fans today to the fact that they will in fact be ready for their July 4th show at Washington, D.C.’s RFK Stadium. Check out the post below.

The all-star bash features many of the guests who turned up in the Foo Fighters Sonic Highways documentary. Blues rockers Buddy Guy and Gary Clark Jr., Seattle based classic rock favorites Heart, recent Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Joan Jett, rap icon LL Cool J with DJ Z-Trip, New Orleans’ favorite son Trombone Shorty and Washington, D.C. funk legends Trouble Funk will all take part in the festivities.

The group has dates booked in July, August, September and October in North America, though there are a few weeks off at various points during the run. See their current itinerary here.
