A few weeks ago, right before the Royal Rumble, I had the pleasure of speaking with professional wrestling legend, Olympic gold medalist and now WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle. Kurt and I spent a lot of time speaking about his new drug addiction app, AngleStrong Recovery Help, but we also touched on some wrestling stuff.

And, it just amazed me that the WWE were bringing in a guy of Kurt Angle's caliber who can still go, but  there were no plans or talks about him wrestling in the WWE. Well, apparently since I chatted with Kurt, some plans may have changed.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, there are now plans for Kurt Angle to work some matches after he’s inducted into the Hall of Fame. Apparently, it will be on a very limited basis and Kurt will have to pass a WWE physical. Some sources are reporting Angle's in ring return could be in conjunction with the WWE 2K18 video game.

As far as Angle being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame at WrestleMania 33, Jim Ross has stated that he believes John Cena will be the one to do the honors. Angle himself has named Steve Austin as a potential inductor.
