Two men face charges in the wake of an investigation into the shooting death of a 4-year-old boy earlier this week, but neither one is charged with the child's death.

Shreveport police have arrested 19-year-old Anthony Perot and 25-year-old Jeveara Johnson with one count each of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and various drug possession charges.

Police spokesman Marcus Hines says this comes on the heels of the continuing investigation, during which authorities were able to determine the two men were present at the scene of the shooting that claimed the life of Cameron Morris.

Shreveport police investigators are working closely with the Caddo Parish District Attorney's Office to determine whether additional charges are warranted.
