It's going to be one 'geeky' weekend in Shreveport!

This is definitely the weekend to let your geek flag fly high! Geek'd Con returns to the Shreveport Convention Center for three days of all things geek. With special guests Elvira, Tara Reid, Kathy Najimy, and more. Plus, hundreds of vendors on sight with unique finds. Tickets are only $20 for a weekend pass. That's three days of entertainment for just 20 bucks. Or you can purchase a day pass.

Now the only question is what are you going to wear?

If you're like me, you have put this off until the very last minute. I mean, Geek'd Con kicks off tomorrow. However, there are some places you can find the perfect things to wear to Geek'd Con right here on Shreveport-Bossier.

1. The Fun Shop Too

The Fun Shop Too on Mansfield Road in Shreveport is a one-stop shop for costumes and masks. Forget waiting for the Halloween stores to open because then it will be too late. You perfect cosplay costume can easily be found here.

2. Spencer's

Located in Mall St. Vincent, Spencer's is a fun place to find something suitable for Geek'd Con. Yes, you could easily find some inappropriate things at the same time, but I like to look at Geek'd Con the same way I do Halloween. Sometimes it's okay to step out of your comfort zone.

3. Hot Topic

You can find Hot Topic at Pierre Bossier Mall. From simple tees to cool geeky accessories, your sure to find something subtle or eye-catching to wear to Geek'd Con. Even if it's a simple shirt that makes you look like a Poke Ball.

4. Department Stores

So maybe you're not the type to go all out and cosplay. Maybe a simple graphic tee is more your style. You can find cool graphic tees with super hero themes on them at stores like JC Penny, Kohls, TargetOld Navy, etc. These are especially easy to find with back to school season upon us.

5. Party City

Party City can be found on Youree Drive. They carry select super hero costumes in stock. They also have masks and accessories that could easily compliment your look or even top off your perfect cosplay costume.

The main thing to remember is to have fun. Feel free to push yourself out of your comfort zone a bit. I promise, there will be plenty of others doing the same. Heck, I may even show up dressed as Harley Quinn, but good luck finding me among the other several hundred Harleys.

We'll see you this weekend at Geek'd Con.
