It's been over a year since the last time we sat down, and put in the time, to do our research to uncover the Top Porn Stars From Texas. Back in the day, we set out to uncover the Top 5 Porn Stars from the great state of Louisiana, then we updated that list of porn stars.

Once we posted the Louisiana list last year, we had a lot of people mention that a Texas list should follow. So we went ahead and put that together for everyone. 

But in our original lists, we didn't have much to go on, and had very little evidence behind them. We basically looked at how many movies each star had on their resume, how many awards they won, and any kind of impact they had on the industry. But we wanted to step our game up, which helped us in creating last year's list.

So again, using the rankings from our friends at Pornhub, we were able to plot out the Top 11 based on actual rankings. We utilized Pornhub's World Rankings to list the following stars.

So here we go, the Top 11 Porn Stars From Texas:

Alexis Texas - From Panama, raised in Texas - World Rank 7

We've always had rules with these lists, and we're going to stick to our most controversial. Since the start, one of our rules is how to establish who’s FROM TEXAS. There are a lot of adult stars who GREW UP in Texas, but weren’t born there. Some on our list were BORN in Texas, but were raised somewhere else. Based on the way we do things, Alexis Texas doesn’t count, because she was born in Panama.

If she was eligible for the rankings, of course she’d be high on the list, so we feel like we NEED to put her here as an honorable mention.

Mia Khalifa - Beirut, Lebanon - UTEP Graduate - World Rank 2

Here's another that COULD make a Texas list, depending on your rules. Khalifa wasn't even born in the United States, but she's an alumni from UTEP (University of Texas - El Paso) so you could find a way to tie her into the state, but just like Alexis Texas, we need to stick to our rules. But otherwise, she'd be #1 on this list.

11. Teagan Presley – The Woodlands, TX – World Rank 810 (Our Rank Last Year #11)

A 2016 inductee into the AVN Hall of Fame, Teagan Presley has appeared in almost 200 films in her career, and has won 3 AVN Awards. She is also one of the few on our list who has been a featured dancer in Shreveport.

10. Jessica Drake – San Antonio, TX – World Rank 680 (Our Rank Last Year #1)

Even in last year's list, we noted that Drake's #1 finish was likely a fluke. She was mentioned in news stories nation-wide last year, which helped her search rank. But this year, she's back to normal. Still makes the list, but not #1.

9. Megan Salinas – McAllen, TX – World Rank 364 (Our Rank Last Year #8)

She’s only 23-years-old, and has only been in the adult industry a few years, but she’s already ranked as one of the Top 3750 adult stars in the world, and one of the Top 10 stars from Texas.

Salinas has less than 50 scenes to her credit, but with the rankings she’s already achieved, she’s probably not going anywhere anytime soon.

8. Kleio Valentien – Austin, TX – World Rank 327 (Our Rank Last Year #10)

Kleio Valentien has landed a role that she will likely be recognized as for a long time. Last year she won her first AVN Award for her role as Harley Quinn in Batman v Superman XXX. Making her the premiere Harley Quinn in the adult industry.

In addition to that, Kleio over 110 other roles, and 9 other AVN Award nominations.

7. Nina Mercedez – Corpus Christi, TX – World Rank 307 (Our Rank Last Year #9)

Nina Mercedez may end up with the fewest number of films of anyone on the list, and she’s inside the Top 10. Mercedez has less than 100 films on her resume, but she’s made an incredible impact in the industry.

The magazine Complex has put Mercedez on a few of their most impressive lists, including their “50 Prettiest Porn Stars of All Time”, “The 25 Hottest Texan Women”, and in 2011 she landed on their “The Top 100 Hottest Porn Stars (Right Now)” list.

She's also found major success in the cosplay world with her various outfits.

6. Rachel Roxxx – San Antonio – World Rank 226 (Our Rank Last Year #7)

She’s got almost 350 films on her resume, and has worked her way into the Top 200 adult stars in the world. She’s been nominated for 2 AVN Awards, but hasn’t won any yet. At her current pace though, she’ll probably get one soon.

5. Bree Olson – Houston, TX – World Rank 196 (Our Rank Last Year #4)

Bree's been out of the adult industry for some time, but she’s got hundreds of films to her credit, 4 AVN Awards, and a huge online following. Even though what most people will remember about Bree Olson is her relationship with Charlie Sheen.

Bree and Sheen had a very public, and insane, relationship as Sheen was doing his “Tiger Blood” thing. After that, Bree left the adult industry to pursue “mainstream” roles.

In her “mainstream” work, she’s appeared with Funny or Die, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and even had a role in the popular Power/Rangers online fan film.

4. Jesse Jane – Fort Worth, TX – World Rank 168 (Our Rank Last Year #5)

Jesse Jane is an AVN Hall of Fame member, who has been nominated for 83 awards in her career, winning 23 of them. She’s also experienced a metric ton of “mainstream” success, appearing in shows like Entourage and The Bad Girls Club, as well as movies like Starsky and Hutch. She was also named as one of “The Dirty Dozen: Porn’s Most Popular Stars” by CNBC.

3. Veronica Avluv – Rowlett, TX – World Rank 116 (Our Rank Last Year #6)

Avluv has over 350 films on her resume, and had been nominated for almost 10 AVN Awards before winning her first in 2015.

She's got the biggest jump from last year's list. There were a few jumps of two spots, but a three spot jump, and into the Top 3 is a big move.

In addition to her adult work, Avluv appeared on multiple episodes of Showtime’s “Girls of Sunset Strip”

2. Kagney Linn Karter – Harris County, TX – World Rank 77 (Our Rank Last Year #3)

Karter has over 37 industry award nominations and over 5 wins in her career. A career that has spanned over 400 films. Multiple sites have listed her as a “most searched” star, often generating hundreds of thousands of searches in a single month.

1. Rachel Starr – Dallas, TX – World Rank 42 (Our Rank Last Year #2)

We owe her this makeup from last year. Straight up, she should have been #1, but because we used the Porn Hub search rank as a metric, she got bumped to #2.

But now she has her rightful place as #1.

Maybe the most impressive thing about Starr, is that she will be forever tied to Shreveport. According to the legend (which she told us about this week), she was discovered while dancing at Deja Vu in downtown Shreveport in 2007.

She’s one of the Top 50 stars in the world, and #1 on the list from Texas. Starr has over 400 films to her credit, and and handful of AVN Award nominations, but no wins. Yet she still tops the worldwide ranks over Hall of Fame members and household names.
