The Haircut Video Companion: Lizzy Borden “Me Against The World”

The band, Lizzy Borden, not the murderer who killed her parents and not the Wrestling/porn star. Nope, Lizzy Borden was a typical Los Angeles Hairband, but they were more of the looks of Kiss meets the theatrics of Alice Cooper meets the sound of Judas Priest.

Were they huge? No, but they were..and even today, they are a draw in concert. What is amazing is other than a few minor songs this band continues to stay around and occasionally make new music. But for the most part, they are a great band to see during Halloween.

So why didn't they make it as a major hairband player? Simple answer Motley Crue. The Crue signed a better more lucrative deal. So when you pick between the 2 bands, the Crue won.

The song that broke them through (if you want to call it that) was "Me Against the World". And they videos were pretty campy too, part of that was the era, the other part was lack of money. Enjoy:
