In 1990, Anthrax was on top of the world, one of the biggest thrash metal bands that were able to cross-over to the mainstream.

While there was some internal strife happening, the band was able to have a 3rd major hit album with Persistence of Time which didn't garner a lot of airplay, but lots of concert tickets were sold on the basis of this one song that was written by an very unlikely Anthrax artist (and probably an artist who had no clue as to who Anthrax is or was), Joe Jackson (not Michael's dad, the British guy).  It was weird to hear on the radio, for those who were familiar with the original. The original was punk and the Anthrax version was, obviously, metal. For this writer, both songs kick ass.
