Empire Records is one of the classic 'coming of age' movies for the 90s generation. It was filled with tons of up-and-coming talent in the movie, as well as some major contributors to the contemporary alternative rock scene at the time. The 'official' soundtrack didn't include all of the great music that was actually IN the movie, but we can't fault them for that, they couldn't do a 5-disc collection for a soundtrack.

Let's check out some of the great songs from the movie:

Gwar's "Saddam A Go-Go"

Suicidal Tendencies "I Shot The Devil"

Cracker "Whole Lotta Trouble"

Sponge "Plowed"

Rex Manning "Say No More Mon Amour"

Speaking of Rex Manning, don't forget that Rex Manning Day is coming up, April 8th!
