Yesterday was a big day in Texas, but he could have waited until April 20th.

East Texas State Rep David Simpson filed a bill that would repeal Texas' legal bans on growing, selling, using, and possessing marijuana. The bill is House Bill 2165, and is gaining support from some people who may not have ever agreed with Simpson in the past.

One of his recent quotes Simpson dropped on the subject was pretty clear on his position:

"I don't believe that when God made marijuana he made a mistake that government needs to fix. Civil government should value everything God made and leave people alone unless they meddle with their neighbor."

We'll see where this leads to, but for now the process has been started, and the first stone being thrown is coming from the Ark-La-Tex.
