It's tough to match Diamond Dave, Eddie, Wolfie, and the the rest of the band against anyone, but then I stumbled across their perfect challenger. May 30, 2012 I've gotten a few phone calls/comments that its not fair letting Megadeth beat up on bands that don't have the name recognition or fan pull that Megadeth has. Following the news last week of several new shows added, things seem to have gone south for Van Halen since then. Without much explanation, the legendary rock band just announced that they’ll be postponing all remaining tour dates after their June 26 show in New Orleans, La. With over 30 dates being postponed, the dates impacted start on July 7 in Uncasville, Conn. and span through a Sept. 25 gig in Milwaukee.

The new album, 'A Different Kind of Truth' hits on February 7th, and the tour kicks off February 18th in Louisville, KY. , with a stop in Dallas 0n Wednesday, June 20th (American Airlines Center).
On February 7th, you can pick up the Deluxe Edition of "A Different Kind of Truth", the new album from Van Halen. Since 'DELUXE' usually means extra stuff, VH is tossing a bonus DVD into the package - something called "The Downtown Sessions"
Being in the school band just got a whole lot cooler for some of the kids in the Los Angeles area: Eddie Van Halen has teamed up with the Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation to donate 75 guitars from his personal collection to schools that don’t have enough funding to pay for instruments. For Van Halen, it was a simple case of giving back — as he put it simply, “Music education and families are dealing with the economic times, and I wanted to help them.”
