The internet is full of dumb stuff. Some of it mildly amusing, but most of it just mind numbingly stupid. But every once and a while you find a gem. Case and point, this awesome cartoon of cooking with Phil Anselmo! The only bad part is I REALLY want one of those 'COOKING HOSTILE' t-shirts.

Philip H. Anselmo & the Illegals have just announced a North American tour, dubbed the 'Technicians of Distortion' trek. The summer tour will also feature Author & Punisher along with Warbeast, who recently released a split EP with Anselmo.

Yes the world has changed since Phil Anselmo first came up through the ranks while making a name for himself in Pantera. But the rocker has continued to evolve over the years and is very in touch with how things operate these days both as an artist and a label chief and he's ready to share his wisdom with aspiring metal acts.

Phil Anselmo has fronted some of metal's best-known bands, but he's ready to step out on his own. The Pantera / Down / Superjoint Ritual frontman has announced that his first solo album, 'Walk Through Exits Only,' is now on schedule for a July 16 release date.

Phil Anselmo has been incredibly open lately about wanting to bury the hatchet with Pantera bandmate and Hellyeah drummer Vinnie Paul. Anselmo has repeatedly stated that his "door is wide open" for a reconciliation with Vinnie Paul, but in a new interview, the drummer reiterates that he simply has no interest in reconnecting with Anselmo.

Formed in 1981, Pantera went on to become a legendary musical force. Recording nine albums (the first three - recorded before frontman Phil Anselmo came aboard - were more 'glam rock' than the metal they became known for) that sold more than 20 million copies, they were still questionably at the top of their game when they called it quits in 2003...

The rift between longtime Pantera bandmates Phil Anselmo and Vinnie Paul has been well documented, but that hasn't kept Anselmo from offering olive branches to open communication in the media over the years.

Throughout the past year, the surviving members of Pantera have commented on the possibility of Zakk Wylde filling in for the late Dimebag Darrell if the band were ever to reunite. While it's all been speculation thus far, singer Phil Anselmo now reveals that he recently discussed the topic with Wylde himself.

Phil Anselmo & company are dropping the first part of their new album, DOWN IV PART I,  next Tuesday September 18th. Which is awesome in it's own right. I mean, what's better than some sludgy, dirty, New Orleans inspired Metal? Well, how about all that awesomeness pummeling in your face live!

Louisiana metal legends Down are in front of a camera this week shooting the video for their new track 'Witchtripper'. No word yet on whether Phil, Pepper, Jimmy, Kirk, and Pat will be showing off their acting chops - or doing a live performance video, but hopefully, we'll have the results available for your viewing pleasure soon...
