Nickelback recently performed during the halftime show for the Thanksgiving Day Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers match-up, but not without a little drama that including an online petition trying to prevent them from performing along with their own Funny or Die clip in response.
As we told you a while back, Detroit Lions fans aren’t too happy about Nickelback playing the halftime show during their game on Thanksgiving. In fact, fans hate the idea.
Now the band has answered all those haters who signed an online petition.

In a rare, and confident move, they will be releasing TWO singles "When We Stand Together" and "Bottoms Up" at the same time to radio on September 26th, and offer those songs for sale digitally on September 27th.
That "Little Ol' Band from Texas" is getting an all star tribute with a new album coming out October 11, 2011. "A Tribute from Friends" is an eclectic mix of artists covering the most well known songs of ZZ Top's catalog.
