The saga of Motorhead frontman Lemmy's health continues. Earlier today (Aug. 2) the group had to end a concert after six songs because the singer was too sick to go on.
It's been a hectic couple of weeks for Lemmy Kilmister and the Motorhead crew. With various health scares -- ranging from the maybe-serious to the even-more-serious -- putting a stop to the band's summer touring schedule, and no real confirmation of what's really going on, fans have been speculating on the condition of the 67-year-old frontman.
Motorhead have cancelled the remainder of their summer 2013 European tour after doctors recommended frontman Lemmy be given more time to recover from a hematoma he reportedly suffered last month.
The loudest and hardest working rock band on the planet, Motorhead, are back at it preparing a new album and figuring out what they're going to do for their 40th Anniversary in 2015.
Lemmy is the most bad ass man in the Rock Universe. And it's not just because Motörhead and HeadCat are awesome (which they are), it's not just because the man is a living legend (he is), but the real appeal of Lemmy is he's a real dude.
The best part of rock and roll is the diversity. Of course there are a few sh*theads that mess things up, but for the most part the rock community is as tight knitted and close as any on the planet. We jam together, we party together, and we rock out as one...
Motorhead frontman/bassist (and badass) Lemmy Kilmister isn’t so much miffed at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for virtually ignoring his legendary band and not inducting them into their hallowed halls despite the fact that they’ve been rocking since 1975. I guess late night talk shows in Germany are like they are here. A David Letterman looking guy hosting a show and interviewing a band that is completely out of their league when interviewing a band.
I have to admit, Lemmy is a complete gentleman when he is being interviewed by Harald Schmidt...
Your last chance to see Motorhead before they head to Australia (and parts unknown) is coming up Tuesday (3/08) in Austin. Can't make it? Well, Lemmy and the boys stopped by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to play a few songs ("Ace of Spades", "Get Back in Line", and "The World is Yours") - so you CAN see Motorhead live, so to speak.
