The Red Hot Chili Peppers have accomplished a lot in their almost 30-year career. They have sold over 65 million albums worldwide, sold out venues everywhere and were just inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. However, the band can add a first to their impressive list when they perform live in Israel later this year.
As we reported earlier, legendary bassist Donald “Duck” Dunn has died at the age of 70. Now rock luminaries are reacting to the news on Twitter.
Red Hot Chili Peppers were the very last act inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio, late Saturday night – and with the ceremony creeping close to the five-hour mark, many in attendance had already split.
Last month, Radiohead drummer Phil Selway told reporters that the band’s surprise set at this year’s Glastonbury festival had reawakened their enthusiasm for performing live. It looks like he really meant what he said.
In fact, according to singer Thom Yorke, fans can expect a full-fledged tour next year, as well as a new album from his side project, Atoms for Peace.
