People aren't buying physical copies of albums anymore, they are downloading them. One of my favorite up and coming bands right now are Digital Summer. If you don't know them, you should. Their new album Breaking Point is not only bad ass, but it was produced and paid for all on their own (with a little help from the fans). The guitarist for DS, Jon Stephenson, is from Bossier/Shreveport, and he stopped in the studio today to chat on his way to the Tremonti show at the Warehouse. Check out the interview after the jump.

One of my favorite songs we've been spinning the hell out of lately is Digital Summer's 'Forget You'. But what's not to love about the band and the song. Not only do they get some emotional and axe support from Clint Lowery of Sevendust. But, the band includes Shreveport/Bossier's own Jon Stephenson (formerly of Karma Protocol). Tonight's challenger, Candlelight Red's new tune (and EP) was produced by drummer Morgan Rose while champion Digital Summer gets a little axe support from Clint Lowery. Either way, you know if Sevendust is into it, it is damn good.
