What’s the Most Stolen Car on the Road Today?
New data from the Highway Loss Data Institute, which uses auto insurance claims to track the cars most likely to be stolen or broken into, says the most popular car with thieves is the Cadillac Escalade.
It’s the fourth year in a row the luxury SUV has topped the list, with about 10 of every 1,000 Escalades on the road falling victim to criminals. In a statement, Escalade maker GM said a number of theft-deterrent systems, such as sensors and better steering column locks, have been added to newer Escalades to combat the problem.

June 15, 2011 According to KSLA.com, a brand new Shreveport Police car was found early Monday morning on cinder blocks with all four tires and rims stolen.
KSLA says the car was parked at a Stoner Avenue electronics shop waiting to have equipment installed in it
