In the world of rock and roll, Zakk Wylde is a man among boys. He is one of the most accomplished musicians in the rock world. He's been Ozzy's guitarist. He was Dimebag's best friend. He started one of the most bad ass bands on the planet, Black Label Society. Now he has another accomplishment to add to his already impressive resume..children's book author!?! Well...sort of.
There used to be this little band that played at Circle in the Square all the time back in the 80's...I think their name was Pantera or something...I wonder whatever happened to those guys? Oh yeah...that's right, they went on to become the biggest and heaviest band of all time. Shreveport and Pantera will forever be linked together. The guys discovered Phil after playing a show at Circle on the Square in '87. The Hirsch was the home to the 'Great Pantera Riot of '95'. This city and the band are inseparable.
Nikki Sixx is at it again with his project Sixx A.M.. There will be a new album for Sixx A.M. coming out May 3, 2011 "This is Gonna Hurt."
