Anthrax have just unleashed the first track from their upcoming EP, 'Anthems.' The thrash legends have compiled six cover songs along with two versions of the band's 'Worship Music' track 'Crawl,' but this cover of Rush's 'Anthem' is perfectly fitting as the first to be released by the group, as it is the EP's namesake.

Earlier this month, Anthrax, Exodus and Municipal Waste were announced as the bands leading the charge for the third annual Metal Alliance Tour. Now, the dates for the 2013 trek have been revealed.

While hard rock and metal bands were snubbed in most of the categories for the 2013 Grammy Awards that were announced tonight (Dec. 5), the one category devoted to those genres features a diverse range of nominees.
