Corey Taylor and M. Shawn Crahan may be best known for their collaborations with the band Slipknot, but now the duo are branching out with a new venture they’re calling Living Breathing Films.

Living Breathing Films is a new film and television production company with an eye on suspense, horror, mystery and all the darker things in life – just what you’d expect from the masked men. They plan to take the same approach to film as they do to their music.

Living Breathing Films already has a film in development that Taylor says is of a psychological nature. “It’s definitely going to stir the pot and get the world talking,” reports Taylor. “Those are the best movies.”

Crahan told Rolling Stone that the general idea is that he will score the films and eventually move on to directing while Taylor will star in and write for the projects.

Taylor and Crahan will be heading to the swanky Sundance Film Festival later this month to introduce their new digs to the industry. Through a launch party and acoustic performance they’re hoping to discuss their upcoming projects for the new year, as well as seek out new TV and film submissions.

For fans wondering what this means for the future of Slipknot and Stone Sour, Taylor had some reassuring words, “We’re obviously going to make sure that it doesn’t conflict with the future Slipknot touring stuff. But it’s important for us to learn first before we just kind of jump in.”
