Slipknot Concert Movie Coming To Shreveport

It's been almost 20 years since Slipknot emerged from the American Midwest.  Des Moines, Iowa, is known for its family values and rolling farmland; not the kind of place where one of the world's rawest and most controversial bands would be born.  Or perhaps that's exactly the reason Shawn Crahan and Joey Jordison started the group.

Slipknot is the antithesis of conformity.  Their raucous live shows feature headbanging, stage diving, and even fighting; with each band member donning a mask and numbered jump-suit to create a unique persona. The costumes are the band's response to commercialism. They declare that the band recognizes the irony that through their very non-conformity they've become a unique product.  So, if you're going to be a product, why not just be another number?

Slipknot's kinetic live shows have thrilled countless numbers of fans over the years, and nowhere was that more on display than their Knotfest performance in Mexico City, one of the biggest markets in the world.  The historic concert has been documented in a new film that will have a special one-night-only screening in Shreveport. "Slipknot: Day Of The Gusano" documents not only Slipknot's performance, but also delves deeply into the lives of the band's fans.
