A new law has been passed in Shreveport changing the ways breweries are classified now allowing them to allow patrons inside who are under 21. Minors are still not allowed to drink but this will allow families to go for festivals, listen the live music or enjoy the food trucks which they hope will help with tourism.

Feedback has been mixed so far with a lot of people being very excited for the new changes but also with those concerned about having children in the brewery atmosphere. Those in favor of the new law say it won't be much different than families going to festivals in downtown or out to eat at a restaurant.

This idea for allowing minors isn't new by any means, in fact most major cities allow them as long as they're with an adult.
