Sakura has already been featured as a Cosplay of the Day character, but we're fans of alternate looks, and similarly, fans of different cosplayers tackling characters we've already seen. And since Sakura is such an iconic figure in Street Fighter's history, we figured it was high time to give her a second look.

Ryu's pupil started her rise to fame in Street Fighter Alpha 2, as a sort of shoto fighter styled after Ryu and Ken. Of course, the major difference was that she was a teenage girl and a fledgling fighter. Her popularity grew over time and she appeared in other Capcom fighting games, such as Rival Schools, Marvel vs. Capcom, and even the Puzzle Fighter series. As many iterations as she's had, one thing remains true: Sakura is one of cutest, spunkiest fighters around.

Taking a go at her rendition of Sakura Kasugano is Argentinian cosplayer, Kitty Honey. Right off the bat, we like her because of her name choice, which is a play on the classic anime heroine, Cutie Honey, who is known for her various costumes and disguises. How fitting then, that Kitty Honey happens to be an amazing cosplayer! Her Sakura cosplay downplays the character's famous energy, but we like the calmer, almost serene take that Kitty Honey has on display.

If you want to see more of Kitty Honey's awesome costumes, check out her deviantART. She's got photo sets of her as Ms. Marvel, Danger Girl, Bulma from Dragon Ball, and even R2-D2. And you know what? She's definitely the droid we were looking for.
