UPDATE: Road Closings as a Result of the Winter Storm

UPDATE 9:39PM 2/24/15
As of Tuesday, Feb. 24, the following roadways remain closed:
All of I-220.
LA 3 Benton Road Overpass over the KCS Railroad in Bossier City.
I-49 from Bert Kouns Industrial Loop north to the Arkansas state line. Alternate route is U.S. Hwy. 71.
I-49 North between La. 526 and I-20.
I-49 South between I-20 and La. 3132.

Original story:
I-220 around the north portion of Shreveport and Bossier City is closed. Traffic will be directed to remain on I-20.

The LA 3 Benton Road Overpass over the KCS Railroad in Bossier City.

I-49 from Bert Kouns Industrial Loop north to the Arkansas state line.

Traffic will be detoured to U.S. Hwy. 71.

DOTD Crews will work closely with Shreveport and Bossier City Public Works to keep an eye on the roads as more rain moves into the area and the temperature hovers near freezing. The primary goal is to keep I-20 open.
