There have been a TON of horrible reviews of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. But, me being a die hard Batman fan, I had to go see it anyway. And, man, was I surprised by what I saw. I didn't see the train wreck it was billed to be. What I saw was a solid Batman film that really got into the darkness of the man behind the cowl.

With that said, was this the greatest Superhero movie of all time? No, it wasn't. It had its flaws and plot holes (a lot of which I think will be cleared up in the R-Rated Director's Cut), but overall it wasn't bad.

So let me see if I can break this down without revealing any spoilers. First things first, Ben Affleck may end up being the greatest on screen Batman of all time. I think for a LONG time, people forgot that you are not actually supposed to like Batman. He's a tormented soul that almost dies nightly avenging his parents' deaths. He's not supposed to be charming and likable like Captain America. He is much darker and Affleck captures that like no other actor has before him.

Henry Cavil does a great job being emo-Superman. Which is great because that is what Superman is...an all powerful being with the raging emotions of a 12 year old. Gal Gadot was awesome as Wonder Woman. Overall, acting wise, everyone killed it.

Now, story wise, I'm not going to lie and say the story was perfect. They tried to pack in 2 movies worth of stuff into one movie. Which, given the epic task at hand, Zack Snyder did a damn good job. It's not perfect. But the job done was admirable. And the end, perfectly sets the table for future DCU movies.

Hell, I wasn't excited about a Justice League or Suicide Squad movie, but now I want to see every entry and how they build this massive universe. It's exciting and the future of DC movies look pretty bright. I don't think we will EVER see another Green Lantern fiasco.

On a 1-5 scale, I'd give BvS a solid 3.5...maybe even a 3.7.
