You could say that I have the tendency to spend of a lot of my free time in bars. I'm not necessarily a drunk, but there is just something fun and alluring about drink and meeting new people at a bar. There are many, many different kinds of watering holes around town. They range from the dirty and dingy to the upscale. So, here is my list of favorite places to get an adult beverage in Shreveport/Bossier. Tell me what places you enjoy in the comment section.

This is hands down my favorite place to go boozing in town. They have a large selection of scotches, beer, great bar tenders and AMAZING food. Plus, unless you really go crazy, you can get in and out of there for under a hundy. If you've never been, you gotta go check it out!

I love the Cub. It's a dark, dingy dive bar that just so happens to have a 5 star steak house in it. The food is pretty pricey, but the drinks are super cheap and very well made so it kind of balances itself out. So, whether you are looking for a great date or just a place to get hammered on the cheap, the Cub is a great place to check out.

This bar is on the upper end of things in Shreveport/Bossier. Yeah, it is a little pricey. Yes, it's a little ritzy. But, you know what, they have fantastic bar tenders who make great drinks. You may end up paying a little more than normal to go drinking at Wine Country, but it's totally worth it. You always run into interesting people there and the mixologist make some interesting concoctions that you just have to try.

When I'm in the mood to drink beer, there is no better place to go than Strange Brew. They have a LARGE selection of beer on hand, several pool tables and lots of live music. It may not be the prettiest place to look at, but dammit, it's always fun.

Again, not the prettiest or nicest bar in the area, but I always have fun when I pop in. The drinks are stiff and cheap. There is a nice mix of folks from all walks of life. Plus they have a few games and one of those internet jukeboxes where you can punch up any song you want to hear. The parking lot sucks, but that is a minor inconvenience for a good time.
