Operation T-BONE Sweep Happening in Shreveport Today

Inspectors for the Department of Property Standards will conduct its' third Sweep today in Council District G as part of a strategic, ongoing effort to remove blight throughout the city.Representatives from the police department, public works, zoning and animal control will assist in the sweep, which begins at 8 a.m. located in the vacant lot of 4005 Hearne Ave.

Trash bins will be available for residents to discard tires, bulky trash items and debris. They will be located at 4005 Hearne Ave.  If citizens are unable to bring tires to the site, they may arrange a pick up by calling 673-6204 or 455-6065. The trash bins are for residential use only.

The targeted sweeps have resulted in several citations. For example, sweep in District F produced citations for 125 inoperable vehicles; 45 parking citations; 116 Seven Day Stickers; and 16 care of premises.
