SI.com is reporting that an appeals panel has overturned the suspensions handed down by NFL commissioner roger Gooddell to current and former Saints players.

A three-member panel has deemed that Roger Goodell was not within his rights to suspend the players for their alleged participation in a pay to injure system.

Reportedly, the suspensions are voided immediately and the players can return to their teams for this weekends games if the teams choose to do so.

The four players cleared are Saints linebacker Johnathan Vilma, defensive end Will Smith, former Saint and current Brown Scott Fujita, as well as Anthony Hargrove who is currently without a team.

Apparently Goodell can still levy discipline if he can provide evidence that there was intent to injure players aside from performance pools.

Johnathan Vilma has tweeted following the decision.
