The 2012 Gigantour is well under way with a lineup of Megadeth, Motorhead, Lacuna Coil and Volbeat. Motorhead, out in support of their latest studio album ‘The World Is Yours,’ released in late 2010 still put on one of the loudest shows in the world and in a recent interview with SFWeekly, frontman Lemmy Kilmister checked in to talk about the tour and his thoughts on the Black Sabbath reunion.

When asked about touring with Megadeth, whose Dave Mustaine and David Ellefson are not shy about talking about their Christian beliefs, Kilmister offered up a few gems, saying, “Well, the great thing about my philosophy is live and let live, you know?” He continued to explain the details of his personal philosophy, stating, “I don’t mind if you want to worship the Great Poobah in the sky, as long as you don’t expect me to do it, too. And nobody has so far preached to me on this tour, so it’s alright.”

When asked if he tried to stay clear of certain subjects with Megadeth (including religion), Kilmister admitted that he doesn’t really see Megadeth too often on the tour, “We hardly ever see Megadeth anyway. They come late and we leave early after we finish to beat the traffic out of there. So we don’t see much of them. I’ve stayed a couple of times to watch their show, but that’s about all.”

It seems that everyone in the rock world has an opinion about the much troubled Black Sabbath reunion (drummer Bill Ward is currently out of the fold) and Kilmister kept his opinion short and sweet, saying only, “Well you can’t do a reunion without the originals, can you?”  Good question Lemmy, good question!

Gigantour continues through February before Lemmy and Motorhead head off to Europe for some festival dates.
